A fantastic opportunity has arisen to have the chance of working with a major engineering company that specialises in the development of key nuclear projects driven by workforce of talented nuclear experts across the UK and world. The need is for you as a senior structural engineer, to become responsible for delivering all aspects of design work, inspections, and construction site support on major infrastructure projects. The opportunity will allow you to oversee the management of all design processes using the appropriate software systems.

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Concept and feasibility studies for multi discipline design projects
Analysis and design using engineering software such as STAAD, Tekla and TEDDS as well as also producing hand calculations.
You will be preparing calculations, CDM activities, basis of design, material specifications, scopes of work, technical reports and inter discipline design co-ordination and supervision.
Assisting and mentoring team members to promote their technical and professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
You will be degree qualified (BEng or Meng) Civil/Structural Engineer
You will need to have previous experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.
You will have suitable knowledge of seismic design requirements for waste storage/ processing plant.
Knowledge and use of BIM packages
Experience in preparation of deliverables for early-stage constructability assessments and HAZOPs
You will be required to have Knowledge of structural aspects of underground/ above ground services of diversion.
