Blueprint recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Civil Engineer to join a leading, Design and project delivery Consultancy on a permanent basis. This position offers the flexibility for the successful candidate to work on a hybrid basis, attending the Salford office 3 times per week to work on a variety of exciting Engineering projects.

Our client provides complex Infrastructure, process and built environments, during the full product life cycle across a range of Design and Engineering services, specialising in a variety of disciplines from Architecture and buildings services to Programme Management and CDM Consultancy, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss!

Key Responsibilities:

Check calculations and production of detailed drawings to ensure engineering designs meet appropriate quality and compliance controls, project brief and customer requirements
Ensure that time, cost, quality, resource management and project requirements are clearly understood and met
Production of design deliverables (including drawings, specifications and reports), site surveys, construction stage duties, client liaison with members of design/ construction teams, project management, costing and ensure progress against the project brief
Produce Civil and Structural design packages for all aspects
Lead the delivery of design packages across multiple projects, as part of a single or multi discipline design team, carry out any or all stages of civil and structural design from concept to completion across sectors including rail, science and technology, waste to energy, aviation and healthcare.Key Requirements:

Chartered Member of ICE or IStructE (or Equivalent)
Support and mentor more junior engineers, including, training and planning
Past experience of delivering projects in at least one sector that our client operates in
Carry out technical design reviews/critiques of projects in process
Sound knowledge of current codes, standards and responsibilities under CDM and health and safety regulations.
Experience managing medium-size projects or managing packages on large projects
Ability to work within a team and independentlyBenefits:
