Our client is an established and reputable UK based structural and civil engineering that offer expert and design services on a large variety of projects. They aim to provide designs that are straightforward, relevant and economical.

They are seeking a confident and ambitious Structural Engineer with between 2-5 years' of experience to join the team in their Sevenoaks office on a full time permanent basis. The successful Structural Engineer will be designing projects using all common building materials including Steel, Concrete, Masonry & Timber, and will play an important role in the delivery of these projects from concept through to completion.

Projects: large domestic, residential, industrial, commercial, hotels, sports, hospitality and leisure industry, schools and competitive recreation amongst others.

Responsibilities:

Producing design solutions from initial conception, though to design completion for structural engineering projects,
Prepare calculations in Eurocodes and able to design in reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, timber and foundations,
Prepare PDF mark-ups of designs,
Compile calculation packs of designs for building control submission,
Prepare technical reports,
Communicate with the Client and wider design team,
Attend meetings and undertake site visits.Requirements:

A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering,
Progressing towards Chartership,
Between 2-5 year's post qualification experience ideally gained within a consultancy environment,
Familiar with current UK design and construction standards,
A good working knowledge of TEKLA TEDDS, TSD,
Familiar with PDF marking up software (REVU Bluebeam or similar),
Familiar with BIM360 processes,
Basic understanding of AutoCAD,
Good communication skills and written English,
Ability to work in a team to solve problems that matter,
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel.On offer for the Structural Engineer:
