Project Manager - Civil Engineering
Harrogate, 3 day per week contract role, £(Apply online only) pd, 12-18-month contract with immediate start, interesting and challenging project
We seek a highly competent and dynamic project manager with extensive civils experience to drive the delivery of a multi- million-pound water facilities project. This will include overseeing and managing the design, installation, and commissioning on time and within budget whilst managing stakeholders.
The role:
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for manufacturing and civil projects, with a special emphasis on capital project requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals align with business objectives.
Manage project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.Civil Project Management:
Utilise engineering knowledge and experience to oversee civil projects, including site preparation, infrastructure development, and construction.
Ensure civil projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget.
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for civil project requirements.Capital Project Management:
Work closely with capital project requirements, ensuring compliance and successful execution.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align capital projects with their unique business needs.
Manage the entire lifecycle of capital projects, from conceptualization through commissioning.Risk Management:
Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively manage potential issues.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in both manufacturing and civil projects.Stakeholder Communication:
oMaintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
oProvide regular updates on project status, milestones, and any deviations from the plan Quality Assurance:
oEnsure that all project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations.
oImplement quality control processes and inspections to achieve consistent results.
The person:
*Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent, including experience. (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
*Proven experience as a Project Manager
*Hands-on experience managing civil projects, including site development, pipelines, and construction.
*Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create detailed project plans and schedules.
*Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
*Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
*Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
*Proficiency in project management software and tools.
You will ideally:
*Hold PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
*Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
*Familiarity with CAD software and engineering design tools.
