The Company & Role
Due to to award of contracts for the water industry, my established client is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to work on packages for the current AMP and the next AMP phases.

This would suit an intermediate or experienced Electrical Design Engineer, which will be reflected in the base salary.

The role will usually involve 3 days remote / hybrid working and at least 1 day on site or at Head Office.

As a Electrical Design Engineer you will be expected to assist the existing design team with the following tasks.

Site Surveys
Thermographic Surveys
Single line diagrams / Block cable diagrams / Cable termination drawings
System architectural diagrams
Cable calculations
Site layout drawings
Bill of materials/QuotationsIn order to be considered you'll need the following experience:

Solid electrical service design - Ideally within the water or utilities industry
Knowledge of BS7671 and other applicable electrical standards for the UK.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors and other involved in the design process.
You must be well organised and able to work independently and as a team.
High standard of written and spoken English.
Full UK drivers licence essential (No exceptions).Other experience that would be advantageous:

HNC/HND level in building services or electrical engineering or degree equivalent or strong previous site experience.
Process and instrumentation experience.
Using Microsoft Visio, Projects, DIALux, Eplan and Amtech software knowledge.
Some knowledge and experience of using AUTOCAD to produce 2D drawings.
Previous experience working within the utility sector.
