Chartered Structural Engineer
We're seeking a motivated Structural Engineer, chartered or progressing towards it, with a degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. The ideal candidate will have senior-level experience, showcasing independent project management skills, proficiency in structural design, and strong communication abilities. Key attributes include leadership qualities, the ability to supervise and support junior engineers, and a full driving license, coupled with ownership of a client base for business expansion.
Qualifications and Experience:
- MEng/MSc or BEng in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Chartered or working towards full chartered status.
- Senior-level experience in a small to medium-sized practice.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects from start to finish.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain good relationships with clients, consultants, and team members.
- Experience in Structural building and defect surveys.
- Proficient in Structural design.
- Proficient in the use of engineering software, CAD software, and standard office applications.
- Team player capable of managing multiple projects.
- High levels of written ability.
Personal Attributes:
- Motivated and adaptable with leadership qualities.
- Experience in supervising and supporting graduate engineers.
- Possess a full driving licence.
- Ownership of a client base to contribute to business expansion.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Run projects independently with support from senior engineers and management.
- Collaborate with architects, corporate and private clients on a variety of projects.
- Contribute to the growth of the practice and assume a leadership role.
- Mentor junior staff through in-office working.
Remuneration and Benefits:
- Competitive salary (around £55,000 or higher based on experience).
