Our client is a family run groundworks and civil engineering company with 35+ years experience, specialising in the highways sectors based in Hemel Hempstead. We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success to our growing business.
Job Description:
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be conducting a mixture of both site and office based duties for the highway sector and you will play a pivotal role in our project management team. Traveling across sites to different on-going projects and monitoring the process with the team and the projects.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Strong communication, sales and presentation skills
-Assist in the production of monthly project cost and progress reports
- Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
-Develop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments
-Ensure deadlines are actively managed and progress is reported to supervisors as required
-Work with project personnel to ensure that profitable and commercial aspects are understood
Requirements:
- First Aid
- CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Degree in Quantity Surveying
Experience:
- Subcontractor / contractor (required)
- Experience in Civil engineering
- Knowledge of Groundworks / highways
- Minimum of 5 years experience in civil
