Position Description
Seeking a motivated person with 5-10 years of analysis and design experience to work with our highly regarded Stormwater and Water Resources team in Florida. The Water Resources Engineer position has the opportunity to provide a wide variety of services on challenging small to large-scale watershed modeling, stormwater and water resources projects including:
• Use of GIS and ICPR4 to analyze the existing condition and design proposed stormwater management facilities for civil and roadway projects (minor, major, and limited access facilities for CFX, FDOT, and local governments throughout Florida)
• Learn cutting edge technology and techniques to develop your watershed modeling expertise
• Perform data collection and field reconnaissance
• Provide conceptual drainage analysis during Feasibility and PD&E phases
• Evaluate and establish floodplain elevations on a watershed-scale
• Compile drainage design documentation and reports
• Prepare drainage-related construction plans for roadway improvement projects
• Support stormwater permitting efforts for proposed designs
• Client interaction and project management duties for more experienced candidates; depending on experience, develop and mentor junior staff

Basic Qualifications
• FL PE registration (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum
• Proficiency with ICPR4 and GIS
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment; Balmoral has a hybrid work policy
Preferred Qualifications
• FDOT/Roadway drainage design and plans production experience
• Master’s degree or interest in pursuing
