We are currently working with a progressive built environment consultancy who have a national presence, as they look to add a Structural Engineer - Forensics to their division in Winchester.

You will working across projects ranging from the testing and assessment of high-rise buildings to smaller domestic inspections. Their projects are spread across the UK with interesting clients including universities, local authorities, Housing Associations, insurance companies, blue light, healthcare and Contractors.

The current workload consists of:

Disproportionate collapse assessments against internal gas explosions, including Large Panel System buildings.
Material testing and condition assessment of high-rise blocks for the new Building Safety Bill.
Domestic structural inspections (i.e. subsidence and construction defects).
Load assessments and refurbishments.
Railway bridge inspections

You will be a graduate with a good degree in civil/structural engineering and have experience of undertaking structural inspections, as well as concrete testings or LPS assessments. You will also have a good understanding of building structures and materials including steel, masonry, concrete and timber. A full UK driving licence and willingess to travel across London and the South will also be important.
