Position: Principal Structural Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented Principal Level Structural Engineer in Glasgow.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in structural engineering, with a focus on large-scale projects.

While SER Certification is preferred, we welcome applications from individuals who aspire to achieve this qualification, as full support and training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the structural engineering design process for a range of projects, including large warehouses, retail units, and residential schemes.
Utilise expertise in steel frame designs, particularly for sheds and storage units, to deliver innovative solutions.
Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met within budget and schedule constraints.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Utilise software skills in Tedds, AutoCAD, Tekla, and other relevant programs to produce accurate designs and documentation.

Requirements:

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) preferred.
Extensive experience in structural engineering, with a focus on large-scale projects.
Proficiency in software tools such as Tedds, AutoCAD, and Tekla. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.

Benefits:

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
