Structural Engineer required for my client to join their office in Scarborough, with some remote/site working available. My client is a structural engineering consultancy that have been established for over 60 years. They provide a diverse range of professional Civil, Structural and Surveying services to their clients nationwide and overseas.

They cover all major construction sectors such as leisure, education, healthcare, commercial etc.

The structural engineer will be responsible for working with existing clients as well as generating new clients through a good reputation and high standards.

Position Overview

* Manage current clients and generate new clients.

* Liaising with all parties during the design process including architects.

* The opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging projects across all sectors (mix of new build and refurbishments as well as Large Commercial projects).

* Complete detailed specifications on structural designs.

* Designing structures efficiently using concrete, steel, masonry and timber.

* Make sure both projects and design work are completed to the agreed timescales.

* Produce technical design information including drawings, calculations, specifications and reports.

* Undertake structural surveys and produce reports giving findings, discussion, conclusions and recommendations.

* Attend and input at design meetings and site meetings, and record actions.

Position Requirements

* Sc/MEng qualified in relevant Civil/Structural Engineering discipline.

* Chartered with IStructE or close to achieving.

* Competent in designing structures in concrete, steelwork, timber and masonry.

* Able to use computer design software packages.

* Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or Scia and Tekla.

* Excellent communication skills
