Salary: $131,809.08 to $173,329.00/year, DOQ + benefits. The Principal Civil Engineer manages and directs the Water Division’s CIP, supervises employees, and directs the work of contractors. The ideal candidate is a senior engineering professional who is passionate about water who will support, inspire, and mentor subordinate staff. They have expert level experience designing and constructing pump stations, water storage facilities; and water mains. They have an in-depth knowledge of hydraulics and strong project management skills. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; 7 years professional engineering experience, including 2 years as a Senior Civil Engineer; and registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of California.
