Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy from Waste site to recruit an Electrical Engineer for its site in Worcestershire.
The Electrical Engineer role comes with a starting salary of up to £64,000 + benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will:
Leading and managing a team of electrical technicians to ensure the plant is maintained to the highest standard to ensure maximum plant availability
Ensuring all electrical equipment (LV and HV) is correctly operated and maintained, including specialist equipment.
Scheduling, planning and optimising all electrical maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner
Supervising and directing contractors.
Working closely with the operations department to assess and review plant performance shortfalls and how these can be rectified
To establish and work within an Electrical area budget.
Support with enhanced cyber security and software baselining and backup.
Support the Maintenance Manager with activities, including but not limited to internal and external audits, outage planning and recommendation of spare holdings.
Ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe manner and in line with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification such as HNC/HND/Degree.
Have previous experience in Electrical maintenance or engineering in a heavy process environment.
Have significant experience working with high voltage equipment, generators, transformers etc.
Have experience managing a team / supervising colleagues.
A Safety qualification such as IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent
Personal skills
The Electrical Engineer role would suit someone who is:
Self-motivated, with the ability to motivate a team
Organised and takes a methodical approach to tasks
