A geo-environmental and geotechnical consultancy based in Newcastle upon Tyne are seeking a geotechnical or geo-environmental engineer to join the team. Specialising in Phase I Desktop Studies and Phase II Site Investigation & Risk Assessments, and with a niche team size to allow for progression and varied work, this consultancy can offer excellent opportunity for your career progression.
The Geotechnical Engineer selected will be offered:
A competitive salary (£28,000 - £32,000).

Training provided where required.
Niche team with room for career progression.This Geotechnical Engineer position will involve approximately 50% site work to 50% office work. You'll be borehole logging, trial pitting, supervising ground investigations, carrying out risk assessments and Phase I desk studies, writing reports and carrying out in-situ testing. A contribution to the training of junior members and/or developing your own skills too.
The Geotechnical Engineer selected will:
Have a degree in geology, geotechnical engineering, engineering geology or a related subject.
Have experience as a geotechnical or geo-environmental engineer or consultant.
Have exceptional communication and time management skills.
Hold a valid UK Driving licence.
Be commutable to Newcastle upon Tyne.
