Senior/Civil Design Engineer
Surrey
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Depends On Experience
A transportation and highways consulting firm that are 22 people strong across their two offices are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join their transport planning team in Gateshead.
There is an even split of transport planners, engineers and Directors between the two offices.
This company offers many services/solutions to their clients. They offer all aspects of transport planning, S278/38 highway scheme designs , drainage design and environmental planning solutions.
They work on projects across the private and public sector such as commercial , residential private developers to local authorities. Other project sectors include : leisure , hospital and schools as part of their packages of work.

Civil Engineer Duties:
Ensure highway and drainage designs are delivered within programme and within the budget provided;
Ensuring that the requirements of all relevant Authorities and Statutory bodies are incorporated into designs, as appropriate;
Undertaking and checking / authorising design information and reports providing effective feedback;
Ensuring that all designs are prepared in accordance with MCHW,DMRB and/or local design guidance;
Civil Engineer Essential Requirements:
Experience of working on Section 278 and Section 38 highway design projects;
Strong technical skills and experience in a range of highway design environments;
Proven project management of highway projects and delivery to programme and budget;
Experience with developing, mentoring and supervision of Highway Design staff;
Robust working knowledge of highways Technical documents within the DMRB;
Experience in highway drainage design and use of MicroDrainage software,
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Civils 3D CAD package.
Member of a relevant Charted Institute.
Hold a valid UK driving license
