Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity to join a leading civil engineering contractor? We're searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients dynamic team. Our clients company specializes in delivering high-quality projects in various sectors including highways, rail, water treatment, water retaining structures, and power generation plants fuelled by both traditional fossil fuels and renewable energy sources. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the quantity surveying efforts on a range of projects across multiple sectors including highways, rail, water treatment, water retaining structures, and power generation plants.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
  • Provide commercial advice and support to project teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts, including the measurement and valuation of work done.
  • Negotiate and agree on final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the civil engineering sector.
  • Experience working on projects related to highways, rail, water treatment, water retaining structures, and power generation plants is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and relevant industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying software.
