The Green Recruitment Company is currently working with a leading Australian advisory firm who are investing significantly in renewable energy in the UK. The business is expanding their wind services and looking for an Offshore Wind Design Engineer to join their teams in London or Manchester.

The Offshore Wind Design Engineer will play a key role in the design and engineering of offshore wind energy projects, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and environmentally sustainable.

Responsibilities:

• Design offshore wind farm layouts, considering factors such as wind resource assessment, site conditions, and project objectives.
• Support to the energy advisory teams in the assessment of offshore wind farm projects.
• Establish independent design centres of excellence for offshore wind foundations including monopiles and jackets.
• Select appropriate wind turbine models based on project requirements, technology availability, and performance criteria.
• Design foundations for offshore wind turbines, considering water depth, seabed conditions, and environmental considerations.
• Work together with existing clients to promote the offshore wind business service offering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, contractors, environmental consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical)
• Strong understanding of offshore wind farm design principles.
