We're seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering Design team in either London or Manchester. In this role, you'll tackle a wide range of civil and structural engineering projects, from initial concepts to detailed designs and construction plans, with a focus on technical excellence and efficient delivery.

Principal Civil Engineer Position Overview
Manage a small team of Engineers, ensuring the delivery of work packages with minimal supervision.
Ensure timely submission of deliverables, conduct technical checks, monitor budgets, and manage projects commercially.
Foster the performance and development of professional staff through guidance, training, and feedback.
Handle projects of varying sizes, providing engineering design solutions to high standards.
Provide internal team leadership in implementing engineering solutions.
Lead daily technical discussions and solutions with designers, contractors, and clients.
Ensure adherence to requirements within technical briefs and works information.
Principal Civil Engineer Position Requirements
Solid academic foundation with postgraduate qualifications in civil or structural engineering.
At least 10 years of industry experience.
Chartered Status in civil or structural engineering with membership in professional bodies.
Strong interpersonal and technical skills.
Demonstrated success in a dynamic engineering consultancy environment.
Proven expertise in tunnelling and underground space on significant infrastructure projects.
Established track record of commercial achievements.
Proficiency in BIM and other design software.
Thorough understanding of relevant standards, legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.
Principal Civil Engineer Position Remuneration
Hybrid working (2-3 days in office).
Flexible working hours (10 am - 4 pm core).
Private medical healthcare.
