One of our leading clients are currently looking for a Principal / Associate level geotechnical engineer to join their Rail team. The rail team currently equates to 25% of the companies overall turnover and is increasing to 40-50% due to the recent project wins. This role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects on behalf of their well-known clients which consist of train operating companies and railway contractors. You will be take a lead role in the management and growth of their rail clients so is perfect for someone who is keen on getting involved in business development. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior members of staff so is a great role for someone who is keen to start managing/mentoring people. Responsibilities:
Preparation and technical approval of railway submissions in accordance with NR/L2/CIV/003
Overseeing the preparation of drawings.
Control the programmed performance of projects for own discipline and where appropriate other disciplines you are project managing
Attendance at project review meetings and managing client expectations
What you need:
Experience of managing a design team and successful track record of delivering projects.
Chartered
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Have a commercial understanding of fee management
