We have a fantastic 3-year Apprenticeship Programme on offer. This gives aspiring people a chance to launch into their career as a Mechanical Plant Engineer. With a blend of work-based, online learning and residential training, our leaders are committed to your development and training to help you succeed and grow. We have opportunities in the following locations: Stirling, Newcastle, Immingham, Bruntingthorpe, Warrington, Birmingham, Treforest, Horsham and Duxford.
To help us identify our brand new, 2024 Apprentices, we will be looking for people who will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Great communication skills
  • Customer service skills (dont worry if you do not have experience working with customers though it is important that you can show us that you understand and recognise excellent customer service)

We also ask:

You will be rewarded with a very competitive salary, which grows as you gain more experience, as well as excellent benefits including tool kit, company bonus, retail discounts, pension, medical and dental cash plan, and 33 days holiday (including bank holidays). Following successful completion of your qualification and as a fully qualified SMT GB Engineer, you'll then become either a field or workshop-based Engineer, working in various locations from a dedicated van if field based, or in your local SMT centre if workshop based.
Interviews will be held in 2 stages, an initial telephone interview with our recruitment team and then a face-to-face meeting with your future manager. Dont worry if you dont match the brief exactly, we still want to hear what you have to offer so apply today, as the first step towards a success future.
