Our projects are diverse, challenging, and impactful, and we are committed to excellence in everything we do. We are currently seeking a talented Project Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team.

The Project Controls Engineer will play a pivotal role in our projects, utilising their expertise in Power BI technology and construction background to create and manage BI tools across various projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting project teams by providing data-driven insights and decision-making support.

  • Recognise project requirements in the context of Power BI and create data models to transform raw data into relevant dashboards.
  • Utilise Power BI to create dashboards and interactive visual reports.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) with specific objectives and track them regularly.
  • Analyse data and display it in reports to aid decision-making for project managers, section leads, and engineers.
  • Convert project needs into technical specifications and establish a timetable and template for data collection.
  • Use Power BI to run queries and functions.
  • Support the data warehouse for the projects.
  • Utilize SQL queries to optimise data retrieval.
  • Make technological adjustments to current Power BI systems as required by the project teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements.
  • Lead the design and development of advanced Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Support analysis of data used for continuous improvement (Lean) projects.

  • Construction background and a good understanding of P6 (planning software).
  • Proficiency in BI tools and systems such as Power BI.
  • Prior experience in data-related tasks.
  • Mastery in data analytics including Excel.
  • Proficient in software development.
  • Analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of Power BI application security layer models.
  • Excellent communication skills required to communicate needs with clients and internal teams successfully.
  • Ability to identify reporting requirements and develop templates for data collection.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Power BI or related technologies preferred.
