Vertical Recruitment is working with one the UK's largest privately-owned multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy and one of the fastest growing companies of its kind in Europe. With operations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, their comprehensive, solutions-led consultancy services help organisations around the world conduct business in a compliant, and environmentally responsible manner.
All of their services are highly consultative and focus on delivering solutions rather than just amassing hard data and undertaking box-ticking exercises. Everything they do is underpinned by a commitment to quality, environmental, health and safety excellence, as exemplified by their certification to the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
They now have an exciting opportunity for a senior civil engineer to join their Wigan-based office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing civil engineering design elements for their projects and will play a key role in shaping this area of their work moving forward to ensure they remain innovative and relevant in the sector.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and should ideally have (or be working towards) Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer status. They are also looking for a candidate with:
* Experience in Microdrainage, AutoCAD, Civil3D, PDS, Info drainage, Site 3D and SUDS.
* Experience of preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
* Experience in housing developments
* Excellent people skills and experience of building effective relationships with clients.
* Highly organised, efficient and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent creativity, vision and problem-solving skills.
Besides being a supportive work environment where you'll work alongside other experts, there's a lot more they bring to the table, including:
* a supportive environment where your transferable skills and knowledge will be stretched, not only for your own personal development and growth, but also to mentor and train others
* an innovative approach to work, supporting creative ideas and ‘out of the box' thinking - challenging the status quo while influencing and inspiring colleagues
* continuous professional development and career growth, whether you want to take your career to the next level or become an expert in your field at a global and growing business
* a competitive salary and benefits package, which takes into consideration your needs, depending on your personal circumstances - they are flexible and adopt a human approach to their work
* professional memberships and accreditations
