Role Overview:
The Junior Bid Writer will play a pivotal role in the business development efforts of our client by preparing compelling and competitive bid submissions for civil engineering projects. This role involves close collaboration with the Bid Manager, technical teams, and other stakeholders to produce high-quality proposals that meet client requirements and align with the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
·Bid Preparation: Assist in creating, formatting, and proofreading bid documents, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
·Research: Conduct thorough research to gather relevant information and insights for bid submissions, including client needs, project specifications, and industry trends.
·Collaboration: Work collaboratively with technical experts, project managers, and other team members to compile comprehensive and persuasive bid content.
·Compliance: Ensure all bid submissions comply with client requirements, industry standards, and company guidelines.
·Document Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all bid documents and related materials.
·Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of bid templates, processes, and best practices.
Qualifications:
·Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, English, Communications, or a related field.
·Experience: Previous experience in bid writing, technical writing, or a related role within the civil engineering sector is desirable but not essential.
·Skills:
oExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
oStrong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality documents.
oProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
oAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
oStrong research and analytical skills.
·Attributes:
