Senior Civil Engineer
Manchester City Centre
£50,000 - £60,000
A Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy based in Manchester City Centre are actively looking to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer with at least 6+ years' experience to join the business working on a range of projects across the Residential (both housing and high-rise) and Commercial sectors.
The company have 3 offices in the UK and originally formed in the Cumbria region of North England. They then expanded to Preston and Manchester and are now home to around 30 full-time staff in their City Centre location near Piccadilly train station.
The right candidate will be joining an established Civil and Structural Commercial team of around 15 staff and will need:
6+ Years' experience as a Civil Engineer working in consultancy
MSc / MEng in Civil Engineering
Flexibility to travel for work.
A commitment to the pursuit of becoming a chartered professional and continuous professional development (CPD).
Experience in the use of hydraulic modelling software, such as MicroDrainage.
Experience in residential road and levels design.
Experience in the regulatory approvals process for drainage and highways. For example, Section 106 and Section 278 type applications.
Possess a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong numerical, analysis and design skills.
Committed to work and capable of proactively managing own tasks, workload and costs.
Planned and organised in your approach to work and meeting deadlines.
Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
Previous post graduate experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
A full driver's licence would be an advantage.
