Job Title: Water Engineer
Location: Birmingham to Luton along the M1 corridor (Postcodes: B, CV, LU, MK, NN, LE)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm or 6:00 am - 3:00 pm (depending on location)
Salary: £30,000 to £34,000 per annum
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Water Engineer to join our team, specializing in water treatment maintenance and installation. This mobile role covers a wide area from Birmingham to Luton along the M1 corridor. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing chemical dosing units for cooling towers and steam boilers, CLO2 units, water softeners, and other mechanical assets associated with the water treatment industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform general maintenance, servicing, and installation of water treatment equipment.
* Maintain and repair chemical dosing units for cooling towers and steam boilers, CLO2 units, water softeners, and other mechanical assets.
* Deliver the highest level of service to clients, addressing queries, reporting defects, and providing updates on site activities.
* Complete all work-related documentation accurately and timely, maintaining logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
* Participate in the on-call rota.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
* Mechanical or Plumbing qualification (City & Guilds preferred).
* 3-4 years of experience, ideally in commercial properties rather than domestic.
* Proficiency in maintenance and use of tools (training can be provided).
* Multi-skilled, with some electrical knowledge.
Desirable:
* Experience in the water treatment industry.
Skills and Attributes:
* Ability to deliver high-quality service and client satisfaction.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
* Capability to work independently and manage time effectively.
