Civil Engineer

SAGE Consulting Engineers specializes in land development and municipal infrastructure improvement projects and is seeking an engineer (3-5 years of experience) to join our team. The successful candidate should be an ambitious self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills who can work independently and cooperatively with peers, clients, consultant team members, and municipalities.

SAGE is committed to professional development and provides training and mentoring to help grow our team. We’re a small firm that works collaboratively on a wide variety of projects, ranging from roadway design and multi-family developments to utility scale solar farms and golf course renovation projects. We are located in downtown San Francisco near Union Square, conveniently surrounded by public transportation. The position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed designs and plans for civil engineering projects
• Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and ArcGIS for project design
• Conduct site investigations and analyze data (e.g., maps, reports, tests)
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success
• Oversee construction and maintenance of projects to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Perform calculations for structures and systems design
• Provide guidance on environmental impact considerations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Three to five years experience
• Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and ArcGIS
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
