Location: Yorkshire (Regional office in Sheffield)

Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

Position Overview

We are looking to recruit an experienced Civil Design Engineer due to significant growth and new contracts. The ideal candidate should be technically proficient, able to work independently, and possess excellent communication skills. They will play a key role in managing and producing design output, as well as providing written reports to clients and senior management.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform detailed design work on below-ground wastewater and clean water infrastructure projects.

- Establish and agree on design philosophy and fundamentals.

- Allocate and manage CAD output from technicians.

- Take personal responsibility for delivering work to agreed time, cost, and quality standards.

- Assist Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

- Represent the company in meetings with clients, contractors, and professionals.

- Conduct site visits to gather information and data.

- Coordinate with statutory service providers.

- Review documentation and drawings.

- Liaise with clients, design teams, and contractors.

Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications Required

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

- Experience in wastewater and clean water infrastructure design, including attenuation design and flow balancing.

- Strong understanding of design delivery, health, safety, and environmental processes.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Good numerical, analytical, and IT skills.

- Beneficial to have experience with AutoCAD.

- Degree level education or equivalent.

- Full UK driving licence.
