Key Responsibilities:
Designing infrastructure projects including roads, sewers, and utility layouts
Managing Section 278, 184, and 38 agreements under the Highways Act 1980
Incorporating Section 104, 106, and 185 agreements of the Water Industries Act 1991 in project design
Utilising technical software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D/PDS, and MicroDrainage
Adhering to local and national design standards such as DMRB, SHW, MfS1 and 2
Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project completion
Supervising site activities and providing technical support during construction
Maintaining project documentation and delivering reports as required
Job Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Design experience in Section 278, 184, and 38 agreements of the Highways Act 1980
Knowledge of Section 104, 106, and 185 agreements of the Water Industries Act 1991, and Section 23 of the Land Drainage Act 1991 (desirable)
Proficiency in technical software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D/PDS, and MicroDrainage (desirable)
Strong understanding of current design guidance and standards such as DMRB, SHW, MfS1 and 2, TSRGD and TSMs, LTNs
Relevant higher educational qualification (HNC, HND, Degree) and membership of a professional body (ICE, IHE, CIHT) (desirable)
Excellent written and spoken English skills
Valid UK driving licence
