Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer
Salary: £45-65k
Experience: Min 5y UK experience

Location: 3 days a week min in Slough, UK
My client has recently secured a 4-year partnership with J Browne Construction to deliver clean water infrastructure projects for Affinity Water. This contract includes the design of clean water pipelines and trunk mains. Additionally, they have been awarded a 20km pipeline project for Thames Water and are actively involved in various wastewater schemes for Thames Water and Southern Water, in collaboration with J Browne Construction and Cappagh Browne.
Key Requirements:
A degree in Civil or Water Engineering.
A demonstrated passion for water/wastewater infrastructure, with a strong aptitude for design.
Basic skills in CAD and/or QGIS are desirable.
A self-motivated individual with a keen interest in water engineering, an understanding of water or wastewater infrastructure design, and a desire to grow within a highly skilled team.Role Overview:
You will join a small, dynamic team working on a diverse range of projects in the water sector. As a smaller consultancy, my client offers a broad scope of experience beyond technical design, including project management, bidding and tendering, site visits, commercial management, and client/stakeholder relationship management.
My client's office-based partners are highly experienced engineers, ready to provide expert support, training, and guidance. They seek candidates with well-rounded experience, capable of contributing across all stages of project delivery-from initial concept and outline design to detailed design and on-site construction support. Experience in a Design and Build (D&B) environment is highly beneficial.
Preferred Areas of Expertise:
Clean Water (Ideal):
Trunk mains
Water mains rehabilitation
Water main diversions
Pressure Reducing Valves (PRVs)
Leakage management/pressure management
Clean water networks
Water supply pipelinesWastewater (Considered):
Sewers
Wastewater networks
Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs)
Rising mains
While experience in clean water projects is ideal, my client is also open to considering candidates with relevant experience in wastewater infrastructure.
