We are working with a leading house builder in the NW, who focus on creating innovative, modern, and energy-efficient homes. With new projects kicking off, they're looking to beef up their technical team.

You'll be a key player within a small, tightknit technical team based in Warrington, It is a very hands-on role working within the land and technical team and of course alongside the other departments in the Company who will report to the Technical Manager. The role will focus on the development of Civil Design Packages, ensuring these are not only regulatory compliant but are also efficient and make full use of value engineering principles. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference within the organisation and improve processes .

Consideration will be given to candidates not as experienced but have the aptitude and willingness to learn, develop and take on new skills in an exciting and dynamic organisation.

Key responsibilities -
  • Design Concepts: Create civil design concepts for site feasibilities, including ground modelling.
  • Complete Packages: Develop fully detailed civil design packages for new developments.
  • Software Savvy: Use design software for highways, drainage, and earthworks.
  • Technical Approvals: Get the necessary S278/S38/S104/S185 approvals from relevant authorities.
  • Assist with Planning: Help our Architectural Manager with Planning and Building Regulations submissions.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with our Development Engineer on new and ongoing projects.
  • Structural Liaison: Coordinate with Structural Engineers for projects with structural elements.
  • Answer Queries: Handle design-related queries from Commercial, Sales, and Site teams, and ensure design compliance on-site.
  • Consultants: Manage relationships with external consultants as needed.


Key Skills -
  • Experience: Ideally, you can do all the above, but we're also open to less experienced candidates who are eager to learn and grow.
  • Aptitude: You're willing to pick up new skills in a dynamic environment, while also being able to work independently.
