Lead Structural Engineer

Associate Structural Engineer - Leicester

Vertical Recruitment is excited to partner with our client who are experts at providing services in the fields of civil, structural and surveying consultancy services both local and nationwide. They are looking for someone to be part of their vision to create a sustainable built environment for the future.

They are looking for an experienced associate structural engineer to play a key part and add their own stamp to the structural engineering team. You will be the main point of contact and technical expert for the Leicester team in a variety of projects across various sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and student accommodation.

The role provides significant autonomy where you will use your background and experience to manage, lead and support the structures team in Leicester and the wider company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, support and mentor the structures team made up of both engineers and technicians.
• Confidently representing the company at meetings and liaise with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Working independently and as part of the wider multidisciplinary engineering team, occasionally collaborating with other teams across the company.
• Writing accurate reports and relevant project documentation.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Chartered or working towards chartership status through IStructE or ICE.
• Minimum 9+ years post graduate experience across a variety of sectors and ideal in consultancies.
• Experience in a client-facing role, ideally comfortable dealing with a large client base.
• Proficient in relevant design software including AutoCAD, Tekla, TEDDS, IES.
