Principal Structural Design Engineer

PRINCIPAL STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - PERMANENT SURREY

Our Client, an offshore oil and gas contractor, is currently looking for an experienced Principal Structural Engineer with a bias in detailed design.to join the offshore wind engineering team.

You will be joining a global leader in engineering, procurement, construction, and installation services for the energy industry. With a strong track record of successful projects and a commitment to excellence, Our Client strives to deliver innovative solutions to their clients.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• B.Eng., M.Eng, M.Sc in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Candidates must have experience in detailed design.
• Relevant offshore energy industry experience with a proven track record of delivering high quality Structural Engineering.
• Experience with offshore wind or offshore installations (subsea is not relevant).
• Ability to apply engineering principals to solve challenging problems and to work effectively within a small team.
• Good command of written and verbal English.

- MS Excel and hand calculations.

- GT STRUDL

JOB SCOPE:

Mission:

• To perform detailed design calculations in accordance with Our Clients current requirements and the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC and Norsok).
• To Review/comment and approve Structural drawings for steel structures based upon Engineering Design. To Prepare high quality Design Reports and to maintain records in accordance with Department Operating Procedures
• To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with Our Clients policy on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters in accordance with Our Clients specific procedures.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Hybrid Working - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
