Professional Technical Recruitment are on the search for an experienced Structural Packaging Engineer for a global leading packaging manufacturer based in South West London. With a huge presence within the cosmetics and beauty realm, you will have the opportunity to work with global leading pioneers. As a Structural Packaging Design Engineer you will be working closely with the design team and directly with the clients.

Job Profile of a Structural Packaging Engineer:

As a Structural Packaging Engineer you will be heavily involved in the design, development and implementation of luxurious sustainable packaging solutions. This role is NOT just working on basic box designs, and a high understanding of mechanical components is needed to be successful in this position. We are seeking creative and technically skilled individuals who are able to balance aesthetics, functionality and sustainability in package design. You will come from a strong Mechanical Engineering background.

Job Requirements:

To be successful for this position, you must have the following:
  • Bachelors Degree in relevant Engineering sectors; Mechanical, Packaging, Product etc.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering (Packaging, Consumer Goods etc.)
  • Proficient user of SolidWorks and other design tools
  • Experience of materials science, manufacturing processes and sustainability practices
  • Experience working with glass, plastics and metals
