Senior Structural Design Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Structural Design Engineer for a contract position, located in Aberdeen (Hybrid Working).

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for structural engineering activities associated with ROV Operations Support:

Engineering for mobilisation of ROV systems (including support for Class approval)
Design of structural components for ROV systems
Supervision of draughting
Critical review of third-party designs
Candidates will need to support on-site activities when required.
REQUIREMENTS

You should have the following experience:

Structural Engineer/Naval Architect, Degree qualified to Meng. or equivalent.
Minimum of five years' experience in an offshore-related role.
Experience of ROV operations preferred
Familiar with IACS standards (e.g DNV), and Class approval process.
Familiar with design codes for steel (and aluminum, preferred).
Able to support on-site operations (e.g inspections, fabrication, mobilisations).
Software:

AutoCAD (Inventor Preferred).
Experience in finite element modelling: STAAD.Pro (Nastran preferred).
