Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Advance TRS are excited to be working with a well established consultancy, who are new to London. They have an excellent work bank and are only due to get increasingly busier. With this in mind they are now actively looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join them.

The work load is predominantly rail based, so this would suit somebody with familiarity of Network Rail projects, but consideration can be given to others with an interest in moving in to this type of work. You will initially be the stand alone Geotechnical Engineer in the office, with strong support from their established team based elsewhere in the UK. This position offers an excellent opportunity to take a lot of responsibility and play a key role in the growth of that team in this office

Required experience:

- Degree qualified in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, with ideally with a masters too

- Must have prior geotechnical experience (minimum of around 4 years) gained whilst working for another consultancy

- Chartered or close to achieving it

- Experience of geotechnical design (earthworks, soil and rock slope, retaining structures, foundations, excavations and ground improvement)

- Experience in using a number of different geotechnical software

Salary:

- £47,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)
