Roles & Responsibilities:
- Specialist understanding and experience in the use and interpretation of the computer based analytical techniques used by the department such asfinite element analysis,CAD modellingand engineering schematics.
- Liaisingwith design teams and other stakeholders throughout the design lifecycle to ensure coordination and functionality ofsystem designs, including supporting design reviews.
- Liaise with the client in building theAirframestructures project strategy and planning on competence basis, technically challenging where necessary.
- Working alongside other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions, gathering evidence to demonstrate compliance of these solutions with safety, function, and performance requirements.
- Advise and monitor thetechnicalleads and managers to implement the structure strategy step by step.
- Technicalspecification preparation and management of requirements, acceptance,verificationand validation of requirements.
- Implementation ofModel based designand definition approach & Model based system engineering.
- End to end lifecycle development & testing - Design, Analysis and Optimisation phases.
- Authoring and reviewing design and analysis reports.
TechnicalSkills:
The candidate is expected to have a good knowledge of Aircraft Primary Structures and Systems, AdvanceCADStructural Analysis,Finite Element Analysis(FEA),Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) and Optimisation, Safety & Certification.

- Aircraft structural design usingModel Based Design(MBD)CADtechniques andautomationapproach.
- Structural analysisthroughFinite Element Analysis(FEA) advanced techniques
- Static Linear and Non-linear, Dynamic analysis, Failure mode, Strength and Durability assessments.
- Extracting aerodynamic external & internal loads, flight unit load combinations, fatigue loads & spectrum.
- Designing structures by calculation to ensure they meet the required load cases and safety factors.
- Fatigue &Damage Tolerance Analysis, Crack growth and propagation assessment.
- Proficient in hand calculationsusing classicstress analysis techniquesto meet certification and sizing.
- Methods &Process developmentrespect to the latest digital thread and digital twin aspects
- Detailed knowledge and experience in systems engineering and engineering specificationcomposition.
- Preparation of Calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Good Verbal and written English skills.
