Attribute Quality Engineer - Wind Noise
Location: Gaydon / Solihull
Contract: Inside IR35
Rate: £30.73 per hour
Ongoing contract
As the Attribute Quality Engineer for Wind Noise, your role is to detect where attribute performance could vary away from target (via objective measurement, subjective drive, static assessment/measurement, over checking build conformance to assembly process, etc.), perform initial root cause investigation and drive issues through to resolution with the relevant responsible areas.
This role will liaise closely with the core aeroacoustics team to understand future products entering plant launch and their critical attribute characteristics as well as ongoing quality actions on current products.
This role with see you cover a range of locations, primarily based at Gaydon, Solihull and Halewood with occasional travel to Stuttgart in Germany however the roles' location will vary depending on the requirements of each vehicle programme. Hybrid working is available around workload and production demands.
Key Performance Indicators of the Attribute Quality Engineer:
The role is to detect where attribute performance could vary away from target using various methods including:
objective measurement,
subjective drive,
static assessment/measurement,
over checking build conformance to assembly process,
perform initial root cause investigation and drive issues through to resolution with the relevant responsible areas.
This role will liaise closely with core aeroacoustics team to understand future products entering plant launch and their critical attribute characteristics as well as ongoing quality actions on current products.
Requirements of the Attribute Quality Engineer:
Experience of working in an automotive production plant quality role
Experience applying engineering problem solving methodologies (six sigma / 8D / Root Cause Analysis) to complex issues
Must have knowledge and experience at whole vehicle level
Proven experience with attribute testing such as wind noise, EBHS (Equivalent body hole size) / air leakage, squeak & rattle test or similar,
Full UK driving licence is required with no more than 6 points
