Civil Engineer

CSR Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join one of our middle Tennessee offices. As the Civil Engineer you will play a key role in designing, planning, and managing various Civil, Rail, and Transportation projects across Tennessee and beyond.

Required Education/Experience
•  Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
•  4+ years of experience designing and creating plans and specifications for all aspects of civil projects
•  PE in Tennessee (or eligible to obtain via reciprocity)
•  Available to work as Project Engineer and lead other designers and technicians

Preferences will be given to candidates with
•  5-10 years of experience
•  PE licenses in other states
•  Experience with railroad, highway, public utility, and/or site design
•  Construction, field and survey experience
•  Currently located in Tennessee or near CSR office locations

Qualifications/Skills needed
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
•  Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
•  Familiarity with local/state/federal permits involved in civil projects

Responsibilities
•  Lead the design and layout of project plans, including grading, drainage, and utility systems, while adhering to regulatory requirements and project specifications.
•  Ensure project designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning ordinances, environmental regulations, and building codes.
•  Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, and contractors, to coordinate project requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
•  Assist in project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication, to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
