Who you are:

ConXtech is seeking a professional structural engineer excited to support the sales, estimating, and construction teams with the design process for commercial and industrial structures and to ensure the construction of buildings and other structures for safety and durability. We are looking for individuals that are open to a hybrid work environment and that can be onsite 1 – 2 days per week.

You have:
• 4 – 7 years of experience as a structural engineer (ASCE Engineer Grade IV).
• A bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering; a master’s degree is a plus.
• A Professional Engineer license (CA preferred).
• Working knowledge of the following codes & standards: IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, AISC 341, ACI 318.
• Solid understanding of construction practices for steel-framed commercial structures (offices, hospitals, data centers, laboratories, etc.).
• Experience designing structural steel frames for commercial projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to engage with external stakeholders to resolve technical conflicts.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Competency to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in ETABS; experience in RAM, RISA, and Revit is a plus.
• Current knowledge of industry developments and changes to codes & standards.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Structural Engineer III for ConXtech, you’ll:
• Prepare preliminary building designs for estimates.
• Conduct finite element modeling/analysis and review models of other team members.
• Prepare steel connection calculation reports and studies.
• Develop design spreadsheets for public distribution.
• Provide guidance to outside professional engineers designing structures with ConXtech systems.
• Attend project meetings with internal and/or external stakeholders.
• Train other engineers to use the ConXtech systems.
• Evaluating project opportunities for technical feasibility of the ConXtech systems.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Where you’ll be working:

You’ll be working in a hybrid environment with 1 – 2 days onsite at our company headquarters in Pleasanton, CA and the remainder of the week working remotely from home.
