*SALARY RANGE

$127,609.72 - $159,367.05 Annually

$10,634.14 - $13,280.59 Monthly

$61.35 - $76.62 Hourly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. 

EXPERIENCE: Four or more years of responsible professional civil engineering experience, including experience with public works projects and three years of supervisory experience. 

THE POSITION

The Senior Engineer will serve as a key member of the City’s Public Works/Engineering Department and will contribute to the maintenance and operation of the City’s infrastructure as well as support long range construction and design projects.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Supporting long-range efforts in the development of Downtown Eastvale which includes a Civic Center, City Hall, Public Library, Fire Station, Police Substation, and Lifestyle Center. 
  • Managing and overseeing multiple construction and design projects that are part of the City’s Capital Improvements program. 


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • An experienced professional with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills who is comfortable working with and making presentations to elected officials, developers, the business community, and partnering agencies. Build and maintain successful working relationships with other agencies, developers, and stakeholders

  • A sincere commitment to public service and in creating culture, entertainment, and a sense of people and places for the City of Eastvale

  • Be a strategic business minded leader who can successfully lead an engineering team, and effective Capital Improvement Project delivery

  • Understand the political nuances of municipal government and navigate the political challenges effectively; be diplomatic and demonstrate political acumen while staying actively attuned to the community’s interests and concerns

  • Promote interdepartmental teamwork and collaboration with the skills and ability to balance, instruct, inform, and inspire; as well as to create vision, execute strategy, and coach/develop others
