Exciting opportunity to join a leading energy company specialising in the design and development of long-duration energy storage solutions for utility and distributed power systems. This role focuses on a cutting-edge project aimed at reducing renewable energy waste and delivering clean, reliable, and cost-efficient long-duration energy storage.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing project costs, budgeting, and project cost forecasting to ensure the successful and efficient delivery of this groundbreaking project.

The Role:
* Develop and maintain cost management processes and systems for the project.
* Monitor budgets, commitments, value of work done, Invoices, forecasts and variances in the form of a cost system (report) by the WBS.
* Establishing cost plans and S curves using project schedules highlighting plan, actual and forecast costs.
* Implement a Value of Work Done process for different phases of the project (engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning). Input the VoWD into company SAP system through goods service receipt.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to align project objectives and financial goals.

Required Experience:
* Degree or equivalent in Finance, Cost Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
* Proven 10 years' experience as a Senior Cost Engineer working on projects within the energy industry.
* Strong knowledge of cost management methodologies and tools, with a focus on large-scale engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning projects.
* Proficient in cost engineering software and SAP including Excel, PowerPoint etc.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
