Location: Gateshead
Salary: £37,000 - £48,000 (DOE)
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional looking to take the next step in their career, working on a range of exciting projects in the infrastructure and civil engineering sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and assist in the design of civil engineering projects including roads, drainage, and utilities.
* Utilize industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Autodesk, to produce detailed design drawings.
* Develop and manage drainage designs using InfoDrainage software.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring all designs comply with UK regulations and standards.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities, providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
* Manage projects from initial feasibility through to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
Ideal Candidate:
* Chartered status (or working towards it) with ICE or an equivalent institution.
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and InfoDrainage with proven experience in infrastructure design.
* Solid understanding of UK design standards and regulations, particularly in drainage and highways.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders effectively.
* 5+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Full UK driving license is preferred.
