P2ML, the structural engineering arm of Mitie Telecoms, are looking for an experienced structural engineer to join the team in our Rutherglen office. Working predominantly within the Telecoms industry, P2ML work alongside all of the major network operators to provide bespoke engineering solutions that continue to set us aside from our competitors. We have a dynamic thriving group of talented engineers and are looking to further compliment the team by adding somebody with a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to progress our plans for growth.

What are the key duties & responsibilities?

You will build and analyse structures with MS Tower. Design, review and approve structural strengthening designs. You will carry out bespoke designs including hand calculations all whilst Acting as lead engineer on project related works, liaising with clients as main point of contact for business.

Other responsibilities include but are not exclusive to :-

Prepare all H&S documentation as necessary

Running projects completely (technical, planning, and commercial).

Project cost control, ensure that the projects that you have been tasked with are kept within an appropriate budget, maximising profit where possible.

Mentoring less experienced staff to ensure their continued development within the team

What does our ideal candidate look like?

You must have a minimum of five years experience preferably in the telecommunications sector, with experience using MStower or equivalent. You will have attained, or working towards Chartered Engineer level, with a focus of a structural engineering discipline.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the below also:

A hard working and motivated individual with experience leading a team.

Ability to manage own workload effectively, as well as the ability to plan and programme works for others.

Knowledgeable in H&S requirements of projects.

Ability to identify and suggest process improvements.

Ability to communicate accurately, concisely and with confidence at all levels.
