Job Description


The Job Mission
As a Senior Pool-Liner-Tank (PLT) Design Engineer within our Civil Engineering Team, you will:

⚡️Produce and review input data, justifications, and substantiation for steel-lined pools, tanks, and inner containment.
⚡️Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, designers, and contractors.
⚡️Review and accept detailed design documents for steel-lined pools, tanks, and inner containment.
⚡️Manage design configuration, including changes and load management processes.
⚡️Interface with civil designers to ensure timely delivery of design inputs.
⚡️Contribute to CDM reviews and maintain the Design Risk Register.
⚡️Liaise with site-based engineering teams to support construction.
⚡️Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure design integrity.

Qualifications


Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills:

Bachelors' or Masters' degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Experience in nuclear civil work or complex structures.
Expertise in the design of concrete structures.
Experience with steel-lined pools, tanks, and inner containment design.
Proficiency in Eurocodes, American codes, and/or ETC-C.
Knowledge of UK Health and Safety regulations, including CDM 2015.
Strong understanding of seismic loading on structures.

Desired Skills:

✔️ Progressing towards or motivated to achieve chartership with ICE or IStructE.
✔️ Experience in reinforcement detailing and engineering calculations.
✔️ Prior work on large, complex projects.
✔️ Strong communication skills for presenting technical topics.
✔️ Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
