I have been retained by an industry-leading engineering consultancy in order to find a geotechnical engineer at senior/associate level to join their team. They currently have a team of 4 who work closely alongside both the civils and structures team and have exciting growth plans for the future. The company has over 160 staff across the UK. Your role will consist of helping out with their current workload, helping mentor the geotechnical engineer as well as having the freedom to go out and win your own independent work. You will be working alongside the head of the geotechnical department who has 20 years' industry experience and will be a great figure to learn from. You will be involved on both new build and reuse projects across a wide range of sectors.

What will the role consist of?
Managing budgets, resources, and deadlines effectively
Undertaking of various ground movement assessments
Reviewing site investigation data, preparing ground models and deriving design parameters.
Preparing and reviewing design drawings, geotechnical design calculations + other technical documents
Reviewing site investigation data, preparing ground models and deriving design parameters.
What are they looking for?
An understanding of basic soil mechanics and engineering principles.
Experience in numerical modelling of soil-structure interactions using PLAXIS 3D
Supervision and management of geotechnical works on site
Experience in geotechnical assessment and design
Commercially aware
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Use of OASYS Suites (PILE, ALP, ADSEC, PDISP, XDISP).
