White Label are proud to be working with a key client and a leading engineering business based in the York area in their search for a Structural Engineer!
This is a great opportunity to work on global bespoke projects within the creative sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce engineering solutions with supporting calculations and analysis using Autodesk Robot, or by hand for conceptual and
* detail designed projects.
* Specify member, component and weld sizes and materials according to analysis standards required. Prepare written specifications.
* Check drawings and calculations by others, ensuring their fitness for purpose.
* Liaise with other members of the project team to achieve a coordinated engineering solution that meets the defined objectives.
* Act as design representative at meetings with the internal project team and/or external clients, suppliers and project stakeholders.
* Inform or produce project documentation including project plans, design risk assessments, structural reports, mechanical
* calculations, inspection & test plans, RAMS, temporary works designs, installation plans, lifting plans and technical files.
* Attend sites as necessary to verify installations.

The Person:
* Extensive knowledge of British Standards and Design Regulations.
* Extensive knowledge of designing and detailing mechanical structural steel & timber.
* Structural calculations / methodical problem-solving ability.
* Structural analysis software (preferably Autodesk Robot & Autodesk Nastran).
* Technical drawing to BS 8888 or other professional standards.
* Drafting and modelling in Autodesk Inventor (gained in a working environment).
Salary & Benefits:
* My client is offering a competitive salary of £30,000 - £55,000 for the right individual

* Monday - Friday - 8 am until 5pm or 7:30 am until 4:30 pm
