Are you a skilled and passionate Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with experience in civil engineering? We have an excellent opportunity for you to join our dynamic team in our Bristol, Newport, or Newcastle office as a Principal or Senior Engineer. In this role, you will lead the delivery of a diverse range of projects focused on environmental improvement, flood risk management, and infrastructure development.

Your Role
This is a unique opportunity to blend your engineering expertise with your commitment to environmental stewardship. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing projects from start to finish, including contracts, budgeting, specification preparation, scheduling, change management, and risk assessment.
Providing technical leadership in developing sustainable and resilient solutions that meet client requirements.
Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Promoting technical innovation to enhance efficiency and quality, adopting the latest methodologies and tools.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
Leading Safety in Design, ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations and environmental legislation.
Leading and supporting business development through successful tender submissions.
Mentoring and developing junior team members.
Engaging in STEM activities, attending conferences, and collaborating with academic institutions.We encourage and support professional development and offer opportunities for career progression into team leadership or management roles.
About You
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our multidisciplinary team, which includes engineers, ecologists, and geomorphologists. You will be involved in civil and environmental engineering projects that promote nature-based solutions and climate resilience, such as natural flood management initiatives.
Your focus will be on providing project leadership, technical guidance, and governance on various appraisal, design, and construction projects. You will work with a diverse range of public, private, and third-sector clients to develop flood risk and civil infrastructure solutions that prioritize environmental restoration and enhancement.
Qualifications and Skills
A degree or equivalent qualification in civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering.
Chartered status with an appropriate professional body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
A full UK driving license.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
A passion for sustainability and resilience to climate change.Desirable Attributes
