Position Summary: Your core role will require you to conduct environmental assessments, develop and implement remediation plans in the field and ensure regulatory compliance. As a market leader in the design and delivery of innovative sustainable remedial solutions you will also be expected to contribute to the design and delivery of these types of solutions.
We are a fast growing and dynamic business that will provide you opportunities and structured support and training to grow your skills and knowledge in the remediation industry. Subject to your experience you will be required to regularly visit active remediation/construction sites, sometimes spending time away from home. Other times you will be expected to work closely with senior colleagues at one of our two office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Characterisation
Conduct environmental site assessments (Phase I and II ).
Manage remediation feasibility studies or trials.
Collect soil, groundwater, and vapour/gas samples for analysis.
Evaluate environmental data to identify contamination levels and risks.
Project Management
Contribute to the planning and supervision of site remediation projects.
Manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure project milestones are met.
Compliance
Undertake environmental impact monitoring.
Prepare and submit performance reports (including verification reports) and permit applications.
Provide technical support for regulatory and stakeholders liaison.
Fieldwork
Oversee field activities such as drilling, sampling, and monitoring.
Support the delivery and implementation of remediation solutions.
Operate and maintain field equipment.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyse data and prepare technical reports
Assist in the design and implementation of remediation systems
Provide technical support to senior Designers and Project Managers
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor, Masters or (equivalent) degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeological or relatable Civil Engineering/Engineering course.
Experience: Graduate to 5 years experience in a relatable industry.
Certification: appropriate HSE/Construction (CSCS, SSSTS, etc) related qualification advantageous.
Technical Skills: Proficiency using GIS, AutoCAD, Risk Modelling packages will be advantageous.
General Skills: Confident communication, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have a UK driving license.
