Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a horticultural engineering specialist to recruit a Structural Engineer to join their team in East Riding.Reporting to the Engineering Director, the Structural Engineer is part of the design team.The Structural Engineer is responsible for the structural design of our client's engineering projects with applications including glasshouses, portal frame buildings, and indoor as well as minor steel fabrications.Duties of the Structural Engineer will include:
  • Assist the sales and business development team technically on qualified enquiries, providing information and advice and attending sales meetings as required.
  • Review enquiries and provide concept designs and costings and assist in tender preparation including specification writing.
  • Development from initial concept designs to fully detailed design on successful projects.
  • Consider the site erection process and how designs can be adjusted to simplify this.
  • Produce calculations to Eurocodes (Execution Classes 1, 2 & 3) to satisfy building control and CE marking requirements.

Qualifications and experience;
  • Graduate in Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Registered with a relevant professional body
  • Experience in structural design in steel and aluminum (would look at just steel)
  • Familiar with Tekla Structural Designer design software
  • Experience of foundation design is not essential but would be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a strong collaborator with team working skills
