About the role:
We're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join my clients design team. In this role, you'll:
- Deliver civil designs for infrastructure projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Handle everything from feasibility to detailed designs for construction
- Supervise junior staff
- Conduct site visits and write reports
- Ensure health and safety standards are met
You'll work on various infrastructure projects from start to finish. This is a permanent, hybrid position.
What you'll do:
- Prioritise health and safety in all design work
- Develop designs that meet client requirements and standards
- Supervise and mentor junior team members
- Ensure projects stay on time and within budget
- Help prepare and manage project budgets
- Write and review feasibility studies and reports
- Present engineering solutions to clients
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Check and approve design documents, drawings, and calculations
What we're looking for:
- Experience in designing infrastructure
- Relevant degree (working towards professional accreditation is a plus)
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and basic AutoCAD
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work in teams and meet project deadlines
- Client-focused approach to service
- Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement
- Strong focus on health and safety
